Course Details & Assessment Process
Our 12 hour Blended Learning Course is a convenient blend of one day face-to-face training and on-line learning.
Part 1. Is completed via an e-learning module with in-built assessment.
Part 2. One day of face-to-face training, which includes practical assessment and a short quiz paper.
Duration – One day: 09.30 – 4.30 with appropriate breaks.
Our 12 hour Two Day Course comprises of two days face-to-face training where each candidate is continually assessed by our trainer for practical skills and must pass a short multiple choice question paper at the end of each day, to ensure that the theoretical knowledge has been retained.
Duration – Two days: 09.30 – 4.00 with appropriate breaks.
Successful candidates will receive a Paediatric First Aid Certificate which is valid for three years.
For your convenience we can deliver ‘in-house’ training for groups with as few as 5 participants.

What is First Aid – Acts and Regulations Governing Paediatric First Aid – Responsibilities of the First Aider in Early Years Settings – Assessment – Secondary Assessment – CPR for Adults, Children and Babies – Seizures and Epilepsy – Choking – Asthma Hyperventilation – Shock and Bleeding – Circulation Issues – Joint and Muscle Injuries – Head Injuries – Burns and Scalds in including Electric Shock – Poisoning – Effects of the Heat and Cold – Childhood Ailments.
Use of an AED, Epi-pen and anaphylaxis training is included in the syllabus as standard.
